    Bonnie Fleming-Carroll is the Associate Chief of Nursing & Interprofessional Education, and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Respiratory Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). She is an adjunct lecturer at University of Toronto, Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. Bonnie is a graduate of the University of Toronto completing her BSc in Psychology and Masters of Nursing-NP program, and is also a graduate of the SickKids-Rotman Leadership Program, University of Toronto and the Schulich School of Business Mini-MBA: Essentials of Management, York University.

    Bonnie provides operational leadership to promote interprofessional collaborative practice through her education and learning portfolio overseeing a team of 28 Education Specialists with the SickKids Learning Institute. Bonnie focuses on advancing interprofessional education (IPE) for health care students and providers and has been a key contributor collaborating with the University of Toronto Centre for IPE in the integration of IPE into to the curriculum of health sciences students.

    As well, she recently provided leadership for the development of Canadian-specific Paediatric Nursing Standards through a national e-delphi process and is revitalizing a pan-Canadian Network of Paediatric Nurses as the Interim President of the Canadian Association of Paediatric Nurses (CAPN).

    Bonnie also provides consultation and nursing leadership for International Child Health projects with a focus on strategy planning, needs assessment, development of culturally relevant curriculum, and program implementation and evaluation. She has a passion for building capacity in healthcare providers, systems and processes that support children’s health.
